Decemeber 1, 2014: THIS IS IT!!!!!!

To all of you who supported our angel; Hermana Seymour on her mission we will forever be grateful! We welcome her home with open arms and know she served Houston Texas Mission well. With Eternal Gratitude, Jeff and Stacy Seymour

Well, this is it!
When I reflect back on everything that has happened this past year and a half, I'm mindblown by how fast it went. Mom, weren't you just saying goodbye to me at the MTC?
I can witness to everyone who reads this that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is real and that it changes lives. I am a different person today because of Him. Words truly cannot describe how I grateful I feel for everything...my mission, companions, members, investigators, MY FAMILY, my Savior..The list could go on and on. I feel like a could have an endless list of "Because of my mission..."
Because of my mission, my family will be sealed in a temple for time and all eternity. That is the greatest blessing anyone can receive in this life. When I left on my mission I had no expectations. I did not make an agreement with the Lord..All I said was, "Okay, I'm going to do it! Come what may and love it!"..Everything that has come my way, I've loved. I can already see the incredible blessings that have come from serving a mission and I know that I will continue to see them as my life goes on.

The church is true. Plain and simple. And when I say that, I mean, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church on the earth. We have a living prophet who guides us. His name is Thomas S. Monson. The way that we can know that all of this is true is through the Book of Mormon. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. It does not replace the Bible, it complements it.
The happy part about going home is bringing everything home. No, I'm not referring to my mountain of things that I've acquired...I'm referring to the experiences and knowledge that I've gained. Leaving the mission does not mean your mission is over. In fact, it has only just begun.
I am so excited to share this wonderful gospel with those that I love most. This is the most bittersweet experience of my life but I know that I have to taste the bitter in order to experience the sweet.
I love you all so so much and I can't thank each of you enough for the support and love that you've given me!

This week was one to remember..Last week, I mentioned the "He is the Gift" initiative that the church has launched..Well, isn't it awesome?!? On Saturday, Hermana Maxwell and I had just started knocking doors when I began to ponder on better ways to find people and "share the gift"..Then, a light switch was flipped and we both said, "Lets make signs and stand on the corner of a street!" Did we do it? YES. We spent a few hours making signs with our district and the english sisters and then it was go time. We went to the most busy intersection in our area...16 total lanes of traffic. Yes, you read that correctly. And we went nuts for two hours. The people would honk, wave, stop for pass along cards etc..It was SO fun. Sure we might have looked like fools but you know what? This is people's salvation!

Most of you receive the ensign and in the december issue there are 9 cards for He is the Gift. What do you do with them? Put them on your fridge and stare at them? NO. SHARE THE GIFT.
I invite each of you to earnestly pray about who you can share this gift with. We have all been touched by the love of our Savior. It is our job now to help others feel that same love.
I love you all so much and I can't wait to see you!
To quote my beloved Zac Brown Band....Adios y vaya con Dios! cuz i'm leaving TX!

Love,
Hermana Emma Seymour
